Surgeon Simulator 2 Launches Next Month with Impressive Creation Mode

Bossa Studios, the masterminds behind such titles as I Am Bread and I Am Fish have revealed the release date for their next game. Surgeon Simulator 2, the follow-up to the 2013 original, will release on the Epic Games Store on August 27.

Bossa announced the release date in a trailer released last night, but there wasn't a whole lot of focus on the surgery aspect of the game. Instead, the trailer showed off the game's new creation mode, a surprisingly detailed way for up to four players to build some impressive creations, many of them dedicated in absolutely no way to the medical arts.

There's a maze, a basketball court, a bowling alley, and a number of moving parts that definitely don't seem to be conducive to patient health. Some of these things seem to offer almost sandbox levels of creation. Once you've built your operating theatre/sports ground/deathtrap, you'll be able to share it online for others to enjoy.

A closed beta, available to pre-order customers, will run from August 7-9.
