Disco Elysium Devs Partner With Sonic Producer for TV Adaptation

By Alistair Jones on at

Disco Elysium is getting a TV adaptation. Revealed last week by Variety, the show is being put together by production company dj2 Entertainment, in partnership with the game's developers.

I'm glad to see ZA/UM involved, although I'm somewhat amused by its choice of production partner; Dmitri Johnson, CEO of dj2 Entertainment, also happens to be a co-producer on the surprisingly-successful Sonic the Hedgehog movie. That's not where the videogame partnerships end, however, as the company is also working on a live-action version of Sleeping Dogs.

Details are pretty sparse at this point, with no release date in sight, and no word on who might be starring or writing. Nevertheless, I'm certainly intrigued - Disco Elysium is one of the best things I played last year, and it'll be fascinating to see how it adapts its famous internal monologue to a new format.
