Yesterday, a number of content creators received a jigsaw puzzle addressed "from your favourite Bandicoot", suggesting that a new Crash Bandicoot project might be on the horizon. Now, that seems even more likely, as Taiwan's videogame ratings board has classified Crash Bandicoot: It's About Time.
The listing now appears to have been taken down, but not before information about the game could be screen-grabbed. A translated description (via PC Gamer), says that "Crash is relaxing and exploring his island in his time, 1998, when he finds a mysterious mask hidden away in a cave, Lani-Loli. The mask is one of the Quantum Masks and apparently knows Aku-Aku, Crash’s mask friend! With the Quantum Masks returning and a Quantum Rift appearing near our heroes, they decide to bravely head through to different times and dimensions to stop whoever is responsible."
The listing also featured box art for PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game. Crash features front and centre, of course, but Coco Bandicoot can also be spotted in the background, along with a number of masks, at least one of which is the focus of a jigsaw puzzle sent to various media outlets, and which some fans may have spotted in a PlayStation advert released late last year. It's unclear when we'll learn more about the new game, but given the current-gen boxart, a new Crash adventure might not be too far away.
