I would part ways with an awful lot for a new Dishonored game. Corvo and Emily's stories might have come to an end, but there's an awful lot more of that world to explore, but Arkane has made it relatively clear that it won't be returning to Dunwall, Karnaca, or anywhere else in its Steampunk universe anytime soon. Thankfully, however, it's letting us do so ourselves.
Last night, British tabletop publisher Modiphius announced the Dishonored Roleplaying Game. Due to release in the summer, the game's been created "in close collaboration with Dishonored's co-creator Harvey Smith," as well as writers and artists who worked with Arkane on the original game.
The game is based on Modiphius' 2d20 system. As the name suggests, that's based around rolling two twenty-sided die, and if successful, letting you continue to roll to add a little extra oomph to your rolls. It'll feature a 300-page book bringing players to the streets of Dunwall, starting off with a four-act campaign to introduce players to the city. It's not quite the new game I was hoping for, but it's definitely a pleasant surprise.
