Customisable Pokémon Shirts Have Come to the UK

By Alistair Jones on at

Pokémon Shirts, a service which lets you design your own custom shirt using patterns inspired by the original 151, now lets you order from the UK. In an update last night (via Eurogamer), the website confirmed that as well as expanding to Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, its shirts would now be available in five European countries.

The service, which was originally only available in Japan, is a collaboration between Pokémon and online custom shirt brand Original Stitch. Choose a shirt style, and then pick a fabric inspired by Gen 1 Pokémon, before finishing off the look with customisable extras.

Some of the patterns are pretty loud, but after a bit of tinkering, I came up with a combination of the Hypno and Jolteon patterns that I’m quite pleased with (my first choice, Arcanine, would have clashed horribly with my hair). The cost is a little prohibitive - a single shirt starts at around £75 - but if you’re looking for something special for the rabid gen-wunner in your life, this seems like a decent place to start.
