The New Modern Warfare Will Still Get Content Early on PS4

Last night, Activision officially revealed Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, this year's newest entry in the first person shooter series. While much of the news about the game so far has been well received, with free DLC content post launch replacing a paid season pass, there is at least one bit of news upsetting folks on the official subreddit this morning.

As confirmed by trailer uploads on the PlayStation YouTube channel, post launch content will have seven day timed exclusivity on PS4 before coming to other versions of the game.

Considering the game will support crossplay, many had hoped that the days of timed exclusivity for the series were ending. It's currently unclear how timed exclusivity will impact PS4, Xbox One, and PC players who join multiplayer lobbies together in the week following new content releasing.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare releases on PS4, PC, and Xbox One 25th October 2019.
