EA Just Shrunk its E3 Plans Even More

This year's E3 is a year of change for the games industry and its relationship to the show. Sony isn't having an E3 press conference or any floor space this year, and EA is also skipping a press conference in favour of a bunch of gameplay livestreams.

Originally, EA had announced that it would host two days of gameplay livestreams in the form of its annual EA Play on Saturday 8th June and Sunday 9th June 2019. Now, as a hidden away note in a post about ticket sales, the company has announced that it's condensing all of its livestreams to a single day: Saturday June 8th.

While we're not getting an EA press conference, that's not to say we won't see anything new during the day of livestreams. The highlight is expected to be Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, with a livestream on the Saturday planned to show us our first in-depth look at gameplay for the single player action adventure title.
