Life is Strange 2 Won't Fully Release Until 2019 is Nearly Over

If, like me, you're a fan of Life is Strange and the series' unique brand of teenage emotional angst, the wait between episodes of Life is Strange 2 has likely felt a little rough.

The prequel, The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit, dropped in July 2018. The first actual episode released in September 2018, and the second episode didn't drop until January 2019. The wait between episodes has dragged on, and unfortunately that pacing isn't going to change any time soon.

Episode 3 of Life is Strange 2 will release on 9th May, episode 4 will release on 22nd August, and the final episode doesn't release until 3rd December. Yes, we have to wait until the year is nearly over until we can see the full story through to the end.

Life is Strange 2 does go out of its way to include large numbers of new environments per episode, and features a large and frequently rotating cast, but this release schedule is more drawn out than most players tend to expect of episodic games. This year waiting to see if these kids safely reach Mexico is going to be a long and difficult one.
