My Time At Portia Comes to PS4, Xbox One and Switch Next Month

My Time at Portia is a farming and construction-based game that released last year on PC in early access. The game, where players are encouraged to socialise with their neighbours to pass time while crops grow and construction projects are assembled, has some really interesting ideas, even if we found its pacing a little slow when we last played the PC version.

One of our biggest complaints about the PC version of the game was that it felt perfect for playing as a secondary task, rather than a sole focus, which made the news it was coming to consoles, including Switch, all the more exciting. Now, thanks to a new trailer, we know when the game will hit PS4, Xbox One, and Switch.

Yep, My Time at Portia is coming to consoles 16th April 2019, in less than one month's time.

Where Harvest Moon and Stardew Valley are primarily about farming crops, My Time at Portia is about mining materials for construction. You might be finding tools to build a new axe, or wood to build a bridge to a nearby island, but it's all about building. The actual mining and building process is slow – it's much better suited to a second screen experience than a focused one.

If you want to know more about the game's unique "building machines in a world destroyed by technology" premise, you can read our thoughts on the PC version here.
