If you're a PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds player, and excitedly waiting to play Resident Evil 2 Remake early next year, then a new crossover being teased might be the answer to your prayers. Or, it might just be a small niche announcement that does nothing for you.
Announced via the official PUBG Mobile Twitter account, there's some kind of Resident Evil 2 Remake crossover event coming to PUBG, but that crossover might be exclusive to the mobile version of the game based on the text of the Tweet.
The last day of #PMSC2018 Dubai Finals. What could be more exciting than announcing that PUBG MOBILE is teaming up with @RE_Games! Something is coming very soon. #pubgmobilexre2 pic.twitter.com/HSZVZYG6cB

It's unclear what this crossover might entail, but until now PUBG crossover events have near exclusively comprised of purchasable skins based on existing properties. We'd wager a guess that you'll be getting the ability to dress up as a zombie or a STARS member.
While the tweet only mentions PUBG Mobile, this could just be because the announcement happened during the PUBG Mobie Star Challenge, a mobile-focused competitive event. It's very possible that while the tweet came from the PUBG Mobile account, the crossover might well come to all versions. Apparently more news is coming very soon, so we will update you all when able.
