Here Are Amazon Prime Day's Best Gaming Deals

By Kim Snaith on at

It's that time of the year again – Amazon Prime Day, where the online retail behemoth reduces a tonne of its stock and makes us spend lots of money on stuff we didn't realise we needed or wanted.

As of midday today, the deals have officially started, and they will run through to 11.59pm tomorrow, 17th July. So it's slightly more than just one day – 36 hours of glorious, glorious bargains.

There are a hell of a lot of items to trawl through, and obviously we're only interested in those sweet, sweet gaming deals. We've picked out the best of 'em here for you, because we're kind like that.

Consoles and VR headsets

If you're in the market for a new console, now's a great time to pick one up.

The pick of the deals has to be a mega Xbox One S bundle: a 1TB console along with a stand, a Minecraft controller and three games – Forza Horizon 4, Sea of Thieves and Minecraft – has been reduced by a whopping 49%: it's now £199.99 instead of £390.

There's a £50 saving on a black 1TB PlayStation Pro, bringing the price from £350 to £300. You can also get a heavily-reduced PSVR headset to go along with it: a PSVR starter pack, including Move controllers, has been reduced by 27%, making the price just £230.

If PC virtual reality is more your thing, an Oculus Rift and Touch controller bundle has been reduced to £349, a saving of £50.

Video games

If you've got all the consoles you need, then how about some decent offers on games?

PlayStation 4

Xbox One

Nintendo Switch

PC peripherals

Logitech has reduced a wide range of their gaming peripherals, too: there's 26% off a MK850 wireless mouse and keyboard combo (£60 instead of £81); the MX Master AMZ wireless mouse is less than half price at £38; and the G910 Orion Spectrum keyboard is £78 instead of £115.

If you need some extra storage, you can grab a Seagate 6TB 3.5 inch external hard drive for just £90 (instead of £130). A SanDisk Ultra 200GB microSDXC memory card has been reduced by 40%, making it £38.60, and a SanDisk iXpand 128GB Flash Drive has been reduced by 34%, making it £50.50.

Happy shopping! If you spot any deals that we've missed, please do share 'em in the comments.
