Splatoon 2 just got it's first post-release patch update! Don't get too excited though; there're no big new content additions just yet. Instead, Splatoon 2's version 1.1.2 is all about balance adjustments, specifically tweaking the number of points you'll need to accrue with certain weapons before you can trigger their Special attacks.
As of version 1.1.2, some weapons (specifically the various incarnations of the Splat Dualies) have received a bit of a buff, while others, such as the N-ZAP '85, Slosher, Splatling, .96 Gal, have been tickled with the nerfing stick.
Here's how things now stand, with the values on the left being pre-patch and the values on the right being post-update:

That's not quite everything that 1.1.2 does however. It also offers fixes for a number of small-scale issues. For starters, ranking information now displays properly when viewing "Past Records" for League Battle, and there's been a fix for rare occasions when gear from the SplatNet shop could appear with unintended ability combination.
As the official Splatoon 2 tumblr page explains it, "During a short amount of time after the servers went live, a few gear items paired up with incorrect gear abilities. For example, Ninja Squid, which is meant to only attach to clothing, was attached to shoes." The incorrect gear and ability combinations can be seen in the image below. If you snapped up any of these items, don't panic; they'll remain in your inventory but will be tweaked so that their abilities match the same gear purchasable in Inkopolis Square.
So yes, nothing too dramatic then, and sadly no new stuff to get your inky, squid-y fingers on in the latest update. Of course, Splatoon 2 already gained its first new post-release weapon over the weekend (in the form of the super-speedy Inkbrush), so hopefully it won't be long before more Splatoon-y goodness is on its way.
