If you're a fan of fantasy-themed massively multiplayer online thingamabob RuneScape (and the game has 250 million registered player accounts, so it's not beyond the realms of possibility that you are), you might be interested to know that you'll soon be able to play the game seamlessly between PC and mobile devices.
Developer Jagex is describing the new feature as "full interoperable play between PC and mobile", meaning that you'll be able to quit playing on your desktop, pick up your mobile device (when that version releases later this year) and continue on from precisely where you left off, with your character and progress fully intact.
For those unaware, there are actually two versions of RuneScape in existence; Old School RuneScape (the slightly cruder, but still very popular original game) will be the first to arrive on mobile devices this winter, replete with fancy new touch-screen interface. The newer, more modern version of the game (simply known as RuneScape) is due on mobile at a later date.
Old School Mobile, as Jagex is calling it, will enter beta testing soon and, if you fancy getting involved, you can register your interest on the official RuneScape website.
