Every Game Out this Week in the UK

By Rich Stanton on at

Happy Monday pop-pickers, and what a week we have in store. Though the volume of releases is a little lower than one might expect for this time of year, that's probably because most other developers and publishers are terrified about going head-to-head with the latest Call of Duty.

We'll update this post with any late announcements. With regards to Steam games: there are so many that it's impossible to keep track of what they all are, so we'll pick out the noteworthy ones rather than listing every single Steam game out in a given week. Here's a link to the full list.

Blazblue: CentralFiction

The fourth game in the Blazblue series has been in Japanese arcades since last winter, but only saw a console release at the start of October. It's being brought to Europe by publisher PQube, although one reason for it happening so quickly is probably that there's no English language dub. Who doesn't change beat-em-up character voices to Japanese anyway?

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare

The big kahuna, the loaded hotdog, the double quarter-pounder, the piled-high all day breakfast of videogames - the one and only Call of Duty. Clearly being positioned as a new 'Modern Warfare' moment, the bar-setting title responsible for COD's enormous success, Infinite Warfare has been created by Infinity Ward on a longer development cycle than usual - and expectations are high. A silly crap shoot in space or a cosmic next step? We'll know later this week.

Football Manager 2017

The latest instalment in everyone's favourite marriage-ruining hairdryer simulator has planned Brexit more thoroughly than the Tories - we'll be casting an eagle eye over the many delights of this one post-release.

Moto Racer 4

A motorbike racing game with PSVR support? No wonder they're happy to go head-to-head with COD! Trivia time: this series was began on Playstation by Delphine Software, the great developer behind Another World and Flashback, and most of the studio's last few games would be Moto Racer titles.
