Konami is making a new Metal Gear. It’s called Metal Gear Survive and has zombies on it. Wonder what Hideo Kojima thinks of it? He briefly talked about the game this weekend at the Tokyo Game Show.
During an audience Q&A, Kojima was asked if the rumour was true that Metal Gear Survive was his idea.

“It has nothing to do [with me],” Kojima replied. “I know absolutely nothing about it. That’s because it’s totally unrelated to me, right? Um, how should I put this? Well, for me, Metal [Gear] is espionage with political fiction. Right? So, because of that, there’s no reason that zombies would show up. This is how I see it, you know?”
The announcer then clarified that the rumour that Kojima came up with Metal Gear Survive was untrue, and Yoji Shinkawa, Kojima’s long-time Metal Gear collaborator, then chimed in, saying he wasn’t involved, either. “If it was me, there’d naturally be a bipedal weapon in it.”
“Then, what happens with the Famicom version without the bipedal weapon in it?” Kojima joked, mentioning the old port he also wasn’t involved with. Both Kojima and Shinkawa agreed that if there was no Metal Gear in Metal Gear, then those were games they had nothing to do with.
