Final Fantasy's Creator is Looking For People to Design Monsters

By Ian Dransfield on at

Hironobu Sakaguchi, creator of the Final Fantasy series, is looking for monster designers for his Mistwalker studio.

Yes, that is a real sentence I just wrote. And yes it would probably be as cool a job as it sounds, because we all know how utterly bizarre monster designs can be in JRPGs.

Roughly translated (by Keza, not me, because I can hardly speak Engerlitsch):

"In the spirit of the new year, we are now recruiting. In particular we are looking for monster and environment designers."

If you pop on over to the Mistwalker about page you can find a recruitment form down there at the bottom. It's in Japanese, but don't let that stop you.

Popular rumours about Mistwalker's new projects are pointing to a potential Terra Battle console version, but I'm personally hoping for a Lost Odyssey sequel. Actually, scratch that, just a collection of stories from Kaim's life, because they were excellent.
