Good afternoon, readers! I have some good news. After a long(ish) search, it is my pleasure to introduce our new News Editor, Julian Benson, who joins us from PCGamesN. This is how he has chosen to present himself to you.
Julian has an excellent approach to games reporting and I'm super pleased to have him on board, and not just because I've been going insane running the site on my own for the past month. Here's what he has to say:
"Hello Kotaku-ites (-onians, -ettes?)
I’m extremely happy to say that I’m joining the team at Kotaku UK to bring you all weird and wonderful stories I can find in the games industry. For the past three years I’ve been working over at PCGamesN and before that I freelanced for folk like PC Gamer and Rock, Paper, Shotgun (you’ll likely be able to guess which platform I’m strongest on). Recently I’ve been sinking hours into management games like Prison Architect and Cities: Skylines but this weekend’s going to be devoted to Dirt Rally (and at least a couple of games of Dota 2).
I'm all about the oddities of gaming, inside stories from developers, and things you may have missed in your favourite games. And, if you’re working on something that you think I’ll like, please get in contact with me by email or over on Twitter."
(That's me, Julian and Jack - your new UK Kotaku team.)
We've done our best to keep the site nice and populated whilst we were short-staffed (with the much-appreciated assistance of Mr Dransfield), but I'm looking forward to being back at full force. As always, thanks for reading, and see you in the comments. (BE NICE!)
