PS4 Outsold Xbox One 2:1 in the UK, Thanks to Destiny

By Ian Dransfield on at

The all-important, life-or-death clash of the titans between, on one side, the PS4, and on the other, the Xbox One, saw a huge blow to the latter in the wake of Destiny's release.

Alright, so it's not that huge, I'm just trying to make this more epic-sounding - you know, make it so it actually matters?

Anyway: PS4 sales increased by 300% in the wake of Bungie's latest release, and Sony's machine outsold Microsoft's Xbox One by a ratio of 2:1.

While there are no firm numbers, the sales spike does mean the PS4 has seen the most hardware shifted in any week this year.

The Xbox One also saw a spike in sales thanks to Destiny's release, though again - no exact numbers.

So what does this mean to you and I? Not much. It's just some numbers and money going to faceless corporations. But hey, some people like to hear about this stuff - I won't stop them from doing so.
