Photographer David Friedman recently dug out his old Game Boy camera full of pictures from 2000. I seem to remember that thing being the absolute pinnacle of man's achievement at the time. I might have got carried away.
I'm actually impressed how well the four 'colours' create recognisable images but it seems more like basic pixel art now rather than the early days of digital photography. Here's what Friedman remembers (via Polygon):
‘When I first got the camera, I took a walk through mid-town taking pictures.’ The series delivers a strong sense of nostalgia, taking us back to the bygone era where we all considered these photos ‘high-res’.
