There is still no release date for Assassin’s Creed Origins’ first expansion. It’s just “January,” as Ubisoft reiterated today in a post that also reveals that the publisher is finally going to add Origins’ pricey paid DLC items, released several weeks ago, to the rotation of items found in the game’s free Heka Chest lootboxes.
InnerSpace, an exploration flying game I highlighted way back in 2014, is finally coming out in January. I’ll admit that this one fell off my radar for a while, but it still looks great, mixing vast worlds with dreamlike visuals. Will it handle like a dream, though? Here’s hoping.
The Witcher 3's new Xbox One X 4K patch looks bloody lovely. CD Projekt Red has also inserted a lower res performance mode that aims for 60fps by deploying a dynamic resolution. The frame-counting wizards over at Digital Foundry have put the patch through its paces, and it seems the game can sadly dip as low as 35fps in Novigrad. Not a great result then, but they absolutely beam about the gorgeous 4K mode.
Battlefield: Bad Company is now available on EA Access. DICE's shooter can still be relied upon for destructive delights, while you can join EA's on-demand games service for either £3.99 p/m, or £19.99 for the year. There's one slight caveat with Battlefield, though: it's only available on Xbox One, not the PC version of Access.
