Ten hours into Assassin's Creed: Unity, I'm having difficulty finishing up memory sequence 6. That's just about the middle chapter of the game. I think my character is too weak. His armour isn't strong enough. Neither are his weapons.
This week, Rockstar is re-releasing GTA 5 on PS4 and Xbox One with better graphics, new music, and a new first-person mode. You can now play the the bulk of the game—shooting, driving, skydiving, sexing—in first-person. It is bananas.
It seems these days that a big game just can't launch without some kind of technical issue. The accepted response to this by both consumers and the press seems to be "well, that sucks, but it'll probably get fixed soon". That's not good enough anymore.
