Remember earlier this year, when Fortnite got a free limited-time mode around the release of Infinity War? You could find an Infinity Gauntlet, become Thanos, and fly around the maps with considerably altered mechanics. Well, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is showing it can get comic book movie tie-in content too, just a little later – and less free – than its competition.
Revealed in a trailer, PUBG will be getting a pair of Suicide Squad skins, one based on The Joker and one based on Harley Quinn. The skins, which will be available to purchase until the end of January 2019, will be charged at $24.99 USD (approx. £19) for Harley, and $19.99 (approx. £15) for The Joker.
The skins vary quite considerably in quality, with the Harley skin doing a good job of recreating a memorable look of the character. On the other hand, the Joker skin simply gives you green hair and white face. One of these seems considerably more interesting than the other.
There has been no announcement of any gameplay additions to go alongside these skins, but if you really loved Suicide Squad and want to show that love to the world, I guess DC and PUBG have got you covered... at a very high price.
