Edge Case Games has announced that it is stopping development of the studio's free-to-play MOBA Fractured Space (which we thought was pretty cool). The Infection update will be the last, and no further content, updates or patches will be developed for the game. The servers will remain online for "the foreseeable future."
To coincide with the final update of Fractured Space, all Platinum (premium currency) has been removed. If you've stockpiled it, it will have been converted to 550 Credits for every 1 Platinum. Additionally, any in-game items that were sold for Platinum – such as ship skins, legacy episode packs, skin bundles and credit boosters – will still be available for purchase with Credits.
You can purchase the Infection Episode Pack for just one Credit but Steam DLC will no longer be available. However any unredeemed keys can still be used on Steam for the content advertised when the key was purchased.
"It’s been an amazing and emotional journey. Edge Case Games would not be anywhere without its incredible players – you have been awesome," says James Brooksby, the studio's CEO. "We thank you for all your support and some fantastic memories we will hold dear for the rest of our lives. And, remember; we always had Gamma. GGWP, Captains."
