Fortnite launched last night on Nintendo Switch, following a much leaked announcement during Nintendo's E3 2018 Direct presentation, and from our messing around with the port, it works surprisingly well. It even supports voice chat chat without using Nintendo's app – or it will on Thursday anyway.
However, one thing missing from the Switch port of the game is Save the World, a mode where players team up in co-op to fight off computer-controlled enemies. While not the best-known mode in Fortnite by a long way, many fans had been hoping it would eventually make the jump to Switch, but apparently that's not on the cards.
Speaking to Gamespot, Epic Games confirmed that there are no plans to bring the mode over.
While it's not as big an issue as if the game had been missing battle royale on Switch, it's still a shame for an otherwise rock solid port.
