Mario Tennis Aces, the newest Nintendo sports game with supercharged powers and exaggerated characters, doesn't release until June 22nd. However, if you can't wait that long to find out if the game is your cup of tea, then you're in luck, just so long as you can clear a weekend early next month.
Mario Tennis Aces is getting a time-limited demo in early June, which will give players one weekend to try out the game, while helping Nintendo to test out the bandwidth of their online services.
"You will be able to hop online to participate in a free pre-launch tournament for Mario Tennis Aces. This will give you plenty of time to practice your Trick Shots before the game launches for Nintendo Switch on June 22."
The demo, which will also be playable offline during this period, will initially let players play as Mario, Peach, Yoshi and Bowser, with five extra characters able to be unlocked during the weekend if you play well. Players who try out the demo will get a classic Mario outfit unlocked if they purchase the full game.
There's no announcement of any prize for winning the tournament, but bragging rights are cool, I suppose. The demo tournament will run from 2am UK time on Saturday 2nd June until 8am on Monday 4th June 2018.
