Xbox Live Indie Games, the service that brought us such classics as Baby Maker Extreme and Flappy Avatar to the Xbox 360, finally ends this month. Around two years ago, on September 9th 2015, developers were given a year to finish developing any games they were working on, and customers were given two years warning that the service would be closing.
Now, we finally have a death date for the service. XBLIG will be going away for good on September 29th 2017.
FYI, September 29th will be the last day to purchase new XBLIG games on Xbox 360. You will still be able to re-d/l games you own, of course.

There's an awful lot of trash on XBLIG, but there really are some gems. Games like Bleed, Cthullu Saves the World, DLC Quest, Groov and Mount Your Friends are all cool ideas and, if you want to take a look, you've only got a short window left to purchase them. You will, however, be able to re-download any you already own beyond that date.
