Remember Deadly Premonition? Originally released in 2010, it was basically video gaming's answer to Twin Peaks. Playing as FBI Agent York, you're tasked with investigating a murder in the small town of Greenvale. It's random, it's weird, and it's kooky as hell – just like Twin Peaks was.
Well, it seems like publisher Rising Star Games wants to cash in on the fact that Twin Peaks is making a return to our TV sets later this month by also bringing back Deadly Premonition – although this time in the form of a board game.
The video game to board game jump may seem a little backwards, but it's not all that unusual these days: Dark Souls, DOOM, Assassin's Creed and Gears of War among others have all had the board game treatment, and Deadly Premonition is seemingly the next to join them.
Any details of the game remain a mystery just yet, with RSG being suitably secretive with the information they've given. So far, all we have is a coy teaser trailer, and a placeholder website counting down to 5pm on Tuesday.
The Deadly Premonition website gives us the tagline "a game of innocence, incrimination and murder" – and so far, that's all we know. Do we expect a Cluedo-like game with a Deadly Premonition theme, or will it be something completely different? I suppose we'll find out more when that timer reaches zero on Tuesday...
