Psyonix is "Evaluating" Rocket League for the Nintendo Switch

It's no surprise that Rocket League may come to the Switch. The game made its name on the PlayStation after being included as one of the consoles free games for PS+ members, but it's also available on PC and Xbox. Still, developer Psyonix isn't confirming it just yet, instead it says it is "evaluating it" for Nintendo's console.

"Just like all the other platforms, we are evaluating it," Psyonix's vice president, Jeremy Dunham, told IGN. "We’re looking to see what the technical requirements are. We’re looking to see what kind of true community demand there is. We’re looking to see how it would benefit the community as a whole. So we’re still in that evaluation phase. It’s definitely too early to say that it wouldn’t happen, but it’s also definitely too early to say that it would."

The Nintendo Switch was only released a few week's ago so it's still too soon to know how successful a console it will be and how many potential players the game could have. Still, I'd love to have a portable Rocket League machine. Question is, could you get all the controls you needed for the game onto a single Joy-Con? Maybe if you forced ball cam, then you wouldn't need a spare analogue stick to control the direction of the camera? Imagine two or four player Rocket League on the Switch. It could be perfect.
