Homeworld Creators Tease New Project

By Julian Benson on at

Blackbird Interactive, a studio formed of ex-Relic employees and the team behind Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak, has released some images that tease an upcoming project. It isn't clear whether its a new game or an expansion to last year's Deserts of Kharak but, whatever it is, it's certainly intriguing.

The below three images were posted to the team's Facebook page on January 1st:

The rich blue of the sky doesn't match the oranges of the desert sands in Kharak (of course, Kharak was only ever viewed looking downwards or from ground level looking up through the sandy air).

The aircraft in the images looks similar to the Coalition factions tactical bomber but the paint scheme is completely different:

Though, that different only draws attention to the Jolly Roger stencilled onto the rear of the ship in the new images. Will the new game see you leading a group of pirates?
