By Brian Ashcraft on at

Of course, the home releases of anime programmes often look better than the broadcast versions. Anime studios have more time to tweak their art, and they can also make some extra scratch on the Blu-ray.

Previously, we showed comparisons between the disc releases and the TV originals. And for a while now, YouTube folks have been going further, obsessively comparing the differences. Some changes can seem like minutia, while others are anything but.

Note: These clips below might have spoilers in them. Also TV版 means “TV version,” while BD版 means “Blu-ray version.”

Attack on Titan

Mekakucity Actors

Wake Up, Girls!

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure

Gonna be the Twin-Tail!!

Squid Girl

Tiger & Bunny

Puella Magi Madoka Magica

If you love a certain anime series, it might be worth buying the Blu-ray.
