A Horror Game Where The AI Learns From Your Every Move

By Cecilia D'Anastasio on at

Ever been curious about a neighbour—so curious that you’ve considered snooping? Announced today, stealth horror PC game Hello Neighbor is taking that spying, meddling impulse to the extreme. Also extreme is your enemy, just a friendly neighbourhood AI who learns from your every move.In Hello Neighbor, an advanced AI will come after you if your snooping catches his eye. Excitingly, that AI will react to how you lurk. Your mistakes will teach it how to best hunt you down, an excellent mechanic for a horror game.

Developers Tinybuild and Dynamic Pixels call Hello Neighbor a “first-person tactical puzzler” with “sandbox style gameplay.”

From Steam:

“Really enjoying climbing through that backyard window? Expect a bear trap there. Sneaking through the front door? There’ll be cameras there soon. Trying to escape? The Neighbor will find a shortcut and catch you.”

Hello Neighbor is slated for release in September, 2017. You can sign up for the alpha here.
