This War of Mine's Developers are Tackling Human Nature Again

11bit Studios - the Polish developer behind the must-play This War of Mine, a strategy game about what happens to civilians in a wartime situation - has just announced a new game. Entitled Frostpunk, it is "a deeply serious game created for a mature gamer".

The CG trailer doesn't give much to go on - the poem, if you're curious, is Thomas Campion's When Winter Nights Enlarge. The official site outlines the premise:

"In a completely frozen world, people develop steam-powered technology to oppose the overwhelming cold. Society in its current form becomes ineffective and it has to change in order to survive. What does this change mean? What is culture when morality stands in the way of existence? Think about how survival may, in the end, leave us different beings. Whether worse, better, stronger, weaker or, last but not least, more or less humane – that is debatable."

It won't be out until at least mid-2017, on PC for now.
