Spotify Launches 'Spotify Gaming' Playlists

Ever since I turned about 25, I have been perplexed by what "the kids" are up to on an increasingly regular basis. One thing that is currently baffling me, for instance, is my 10-year-old stepson's tendency to load up YouTube playlists with titles like "MLG Pro Gamer" on YouTube and listen to them on the iPad whilst he plays games. It is not that the contents of these playlists are depressing (though they are). It is that he consequently can't hear, you know, the actual game.

This is apparently a Thing, though, because Spotify has just launched 'Spotify Gaming', a bunch of Spotify-endorsed playlists for gamers. "Exciting news from Spotify as we are rolling out a new Gaming Category for users to uplevel their gaming experience," reads the email I was just sent. It comprises a bunch of video game soundtracks, playlists comprised by pro gamers and YouTubers, and music like this:

Or like these:

Have a browse, if you like. There's quite the mix, so there should be something for confusing 10-year-olds and perplexed 20/30-somethings alike.
