At its pre-E3 press conference tonight, EA talked about a new initiative called EA Originals, where the publisher plans to work with smaller developers to fund and support the development of new, original games. The first game to benefit from this is a lovely-looking thing called Fe, developed by small Swedish studio Zoink.
It is "a personal narrative about our relationship with nature", where you play a young cub all alone in a forest, meeting other creatures. They all communicate through strange music. Each song you learn will let you reach new parts of the forest. It sounds quite lovely. It promises freedom to explore, without hand-holding. Here's a trailer:
