There are also rumours doing the rounds this morning that Arkham Asylum and Arkham City are getting the PS4/XB1 remaster treatment, with the non-Rocksteady Origins conspicuously un-mentioned. No telling whether the delay and the rumoured remakes are linked - I've asked Warner Brothers for more information. [UPDATE: Warner has responded with "no comment."
]The game's director Sefton Hill also made the following statement via the game's Facebook page:
Batman: Arkham Knight will now launch worldwide on 23rd June, 2015. We're a developer that hates to make any compromises, so we are sorry to say this means it's going to be just a little bit longer until you can play the epic conclusion to the Arkham trilogy. As a reward for your patience and understanding, and to make the wait even more unbearable, we are pleased to whet your appetite with a new gameplay video of Batman: Arkham Knight.
Thanks so much from everyone at Rocksteady for your continued support. We are working as hard as we can to make you proud.
There's also some 'new' gameplay captured on PS4. I've put 'new' in quotes because this is the first gameplay Rocksteady used to reveal the game at a press event when it was announced back in March 2014. It always worries me slightly when games keep using the same segment as a demo repeatedly.
