As previously announced The Elder Scrolls Online has dropped it's subscription as of today. You still have to buy the game initially but from now on there's no monthly fee.
It's picking up the subtitle Tamriel Unlimited and includes all the major content updates thus far, such as the Justice and Champion Systems which add a persistent law/crime system and a sort of prestige level for advanced players respectively.
While the main game's dropping the subscriptions you can still pay if you want via ESO Plus membership. That gets you some in-game money and some character stat boosts (XP bonuses etc).
The console versions are still targeting a June 9th release date and will also be subscription free.
